AutoCAD to PDF Viewer

Open a DWG or DXF drawing right here, move around it, switch layers on and off, and download it as a sharp vector PDF. No AutoCAD, no software, no upload.

Click to choose a DWG or DXF fileor drag & drop it here

Good to know

  • The PDF is true vector, so it stays sharp when you zoom in or print on a large sheet. Hidden layers are left out of the PDF.
  • The model-space drawing is shown. If a file has only a page layout, that layout is shown instead.
  • Text is drawn in Helvetica, so Latin letters and numbers are exact. Other scripts, 3D solids, pictures and external references are not drawn.
  • The first DWG you open loads a reader of about 10 MB, only once. DXF files need nothing extra.
  • DWG reading uses libredwg-web, built on GNU LibreDWG (GPL-3.0). See the licence notice.

How to use this tool

  1. Tap the big box (or drag your .dwg or .dxf file onto it).
  2. Wait a moment. Your drawing appears on the screen.
  3. Move around: drag with the mouse or finger. Zoom: scroll or pinch. Double-click to fit the drawing again.
  4. Use the Layers list to hide things you do not want. Hidden layers will not be in the PDF.
  5. Choose Paper, Orientation, Colours and Line weight, then press Download PDF (or PNG).

Helpful tips

  • Choose Fit to drawing if you do not need a fixed paper size.
  • Choose Black & white before printing, to save ink and get clean lines.
  • Use A3, A2 or larger for big drawings, so small details stay easy to read.

Problems? Quick fixes

The drawing looks very small. What do I do?

Tick Ignore stray far-away objects. One tiny object far away can make the whole drawing look small.

Why is the first DWG slow?

The first DWG you open loads a reader of about 10 MB, only once. After that it is fast. DXF files need nothing extra.

My DWG will not open.

Open it in AutoCAD and use Save As to make a DXF copy, then try the DXF here.

Some text or pictures are missing.

Latin letters and numbers are drawn exactly. Other scripts (like Urdu), 3D solids, pictures and external references are not drawn.
